FEC is strategically located in the Amazonian “arc of deforestation”, on the southern edge of the Brazilian Amazon where it promotes the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in this highly important biome.
FEC’s overall aim is to improve interactions between humans and nature. Our programmes include a wide range of projects related to environmental education, the creation of private protected areas, flagship species, the sustainable use of natural resources and development of sustainable livelihoods.
